The first week in May is a special time here at the home office in Louisville, Kentucky as we gear up for this year’s Kentucky Derby. It’s been called the fastest two minutes in sports and no other city turns two minutes into two weeks as well as Louisville. More than 150000 people are expected at Churchill Downs this Saturday. Uncle Mo was the big favorite prior to his recent loss in the Wood Memorial, and although he had an excuse in that race as a result of a gastrointestinal infection, his front-running style is still not ideally suited to the 10-furlong Kentucky Derby.
