March 7th, 2012 at 2:02 am
this is taking the game to the next level thats complex. U gonna be rich playing like that. I would of folded then again if its verses a crazy ass player u probably calll it. So it does really just come down to the opponent

@larrwd is there a point to this?
March 7th, 2012 at 2:30 am
@larrwd you were visiting a gay bar and was weirderd out because there were… GAY MEN THERE?! omg what are the odds! i’m sure phil is heartbroken that he lost such a retard as a fan.

@acenine95 I have a funny story about phil galfond ,,Ill tell you I am a pretty big poker.. anyway… my girlfriends best friend is a gay guy and we went to this gay club/bar in Ny called VLADA or something like that and guess who I see at the bar none other then phil galfond.. I was kind of weirded out he was with the total flamer that kind of looked like freddie mercury he had a mustach and all .. I was like WTF. I have no problem with gays but I am no longer a galfond fan..

@wlzy Yea, but if he had a weak jack or a weak king, he would not value bet such a scary river card. So we can take some of his hand out of his range, all Kx and Jx hands..the hands that beat us are only flushes and Q10. And the fact that he is super agressive, likes to bet air, he likes to use those scare cards to bluff, so after all that info, you can call this spots against a player like that.
March 7th, 2012 at 3:27 am
We can take the decent hands that beat us out of his range..Wow, just wow, eye opener, I just became a 10x better player. THank you Phil!
March 7th, 2012 at 3:39 am
Interesting break down. Phil Galfond seems like a pretty cool guy.
March 7th, 2012 at 4:11 am
@DeusPayne If a bankroll is ever going to prevent you doing anything in a game you are playing at the wrong limits
March 7th, 2012 at 4:53 am
That’s a very very good call, when the Ad comes there are soo many hands that beat the sevens.
I don’t think I would have called that river bet, even against the ultimate bluffer.
March 7th, 2012 at 5:09 am
@xtxoxpxd No?
March 7th, 2012 at 5:20 am
@Happyduderawr If it were durrrr, he would have overbet all-in on the river.
March 7th, 2012 at 5:28 am
Best player in the world
March 7th, 2012 at 6:05 am
@allexd eh?
March 7th, 2012 at 6:20 am
i just realized lagasaurus should start range merging
March 7th, 2012 at 7:14 am
good vid. But usually people calling themselves LAG are complete nits. And guys like “Ineverbluff” are the wildest players out there. Kind of a reversed psychology thing. Guess Lagasaurus reversed it twice
March 7th, 2012 at 7:23 am
Phil, do you have any articles on micro stakes or how to become hero from zero ? 😀
March 7th, 2012 at 8:00 am
Gandolf is a genius
March 7th, 2012 at 8:18 am
phil galfond is trolling lolololol
March 7th, 2012 at 8:34 am
@EGarrett01 most players would fold there and employ that strategy but as Phil pointed out if you are getting the right odds against that player’s large range of hands, which he regularly is 3 barrelling (especially on that obvious turn and river) then you need not pass away the value. If a player was able to analyse the hand as well as Phil did then the only thing preventing a call there would be a players bankroll.
