PLEASE read this description! Hopefully that will clarify some things. If not, post a comment with what you’ve tried so far. Part 121: www.youtube.com This shows how to get the train pass and meet Steven. Addendum Ok, been getting quite a few questions on some things (Steven at Silph Co., orbs, starter pokemon, train pass). I can see that I didn’t exactly explain things too well here. So here’s hopefully some explanation: – To start out, go to the power plant to find out the part is missing. Then go to the Cerulean gym to find a Team Rocket guy that will run away. – You can’t find the part yet, so go north to the bridge to find him. Beat him and he will tell you where the part is in the Cerulean gym. Go back to the gym and search around the inner tubes to find the machine part. – Take that back to the power plant for repairs. This unlocks a few things: 1. go to Lavender Town tower and talk to the guy at the back wall to get the expansion card to allow you to play poke flute on the radio. 2. The magnet train will be working again. But first, go to Saffron City and talk to the copycat girl. You’ll find that her poke doll is missing (you MUST return the machine part for her to lose the doll). Go to Vermillion City and go to the fan club and talk to a guy to get the doll back. You’ll meet Steven upon leaving the builing. Bring it back to the girl to get the train pass. 3. Starters and orbs: – you’ll first need the National Dex, all 16 badges, and have to beat Red at Mt …

@KREOman1337 – the simplest thing to try first is to gain levels. Going at -30 levels isn’t easy. Getting some coverage for water types may also help.
I have a couple vids battling 35-40 levels under where I just wall his team

@pixcalibur123 I got to his blastiose not any farther.
March 23rd, 2012 at 9:38 am
@KREOman1337 - I can beat Red with those levels, but I use a rather specific team to type match his team.
You may have some trouble given you’ll be taking at least normal damage from many attacks, even if you have a supposed type advantage.
How far are you getting in his team?
March 23rd, 2012 at 9:53 am
@pixcalibur123
1.Gyarados level 49
2.Graveler level 50
3.Pigeot level 50
4.Ho-Oh level 53
5.Typhlosion level 53
6.Lugia level 79
Please respond again!

@KREOman1337 – what’s your current team and their levels?
Red is actually fairly easy to beat if you type match his team well.
March 23rd, 2012 at 10:50 am
red is impossible to beat
March 23rd, 2012 at 10:59 am

March 23rd, 2012 at 11:10 am
@Paraskevasful – try beating Red first and talk to Prof Oak after beating Red. He should give you a Kanto starter then

@MrJawelsh – hard to figure out where people get stuck unless I can play their save file to find that missing step. As long as you explore everything, you should be able to find everything.

Thumbs up if you would still get what to do even if this video was in x2 speed.

@mcwalakn – yeah, an epic generation. Lot of new things introduced in GSC. The remakes made things fancier, but kept the good gameplay intact.

@megachicken996 – and interesting how these names hold over time. also the same with accounts on other sites
March 23rd, 2012 at 5:42 pm
@megachicken996 – lol, no that’s not my real name. I think it’s the name of the character if you look it up on wiki and stuff, not too sure about that though.
