    Some of these comments are just funny …. those who don’t get it never will. Matt is a players, player … he knows when to back off and when to kick it. His tone is great but it’s his phrasing that is so cool. Also, his use of the diminished scales wrapped arond the pentitonic keeps his rifs melodic and yet open and airy.

    This guy can play for sure.

    Zero charisma and expensive equipment is not really my thing, I keep listening because he’s British, building a good name for himself and I really want to GET what people are so into… but I can’t, leaves me cold every time (shrugs and moves on, will try again soon!)

    Only found out about this dude today. I like it. Unlike someone like Sayce he takes his time and doesn’t spaz out with meaningless drivel from time to time. Mature playing, and nice vibrato.

    Awesome playing, awesome track but how the fuck do you dance/groove to that, I didn’t know what was goin on!

    I was at this gig. I came down from Newcastle for the show. He was very good as ever. Also John Henderson on keys is a monster player.

    @chooseyourblues huh, interesting. you know better than me Im sure. I just heard about the guy. great player. Ive got a TR in the mail tho. lol what you play out of?

  16. chooseyourblues Says:

    @joelkeaton

    No his main amp for the last few years was a Two Rock and a Super. Saw him live 4 times in the uk with same rig. Two Rock used to lend him gear when he went abroad. John at Peach guitars told me recently he changed the whole rig to the Z because he was sick of the Robben Ford comparisons. He wanted to get away from the Dumble thing.

  17. joelkeaton Says:

    dude is a beast

  18. joelkeaton Says:

    @chooseyourblues no I just think cause he has different rigs for different countrys

  19. chooseyourblues Says:

    he sold the Two Rock…
