Brazil v Chile Eamon thinks Brazil will win the game, but not as easily as we may expect becasue of how Chile played against Spain. Paraguay v Japan Eamon sees this one going to penalties after a very close tight game. Spain v Portugal Portugal will be looking to keep things very tight. Ronaldo hasn’t really performed yet but this Spanish defence might give him the opportunity. That said, Eamon feels David Villa will get a goal and win the game. Eamon’s ‘Holland to win 2-0’ bet is a fine example of how Betfair can assist the punter. With the Dutch 2-0 up and looking like scoring a third, a shrewed trader would certainly have greened-up for a locked-in profit.
Eamon’s weekend treble came a cropper (again), and his tip to lay Argentina is looking increasingly ill judged.
Of the 16 teams to qualify from the group stage, Eamon tipped 10 of them. Overall profit to a straight £10 stake? £14.36 (mainly thanks to Japan at 4.9)
