A bout between Lyoto Machida and Phil Davis were linked to this event; however, it was revealed that Davis is still recovering from a knee injury and the bout would not occur. A bout between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans was also linked to this event. However, a lingering thumb injury will cost Evans a potential title bout with Jones for the second time, as Jones is now expected to face Lyoto Machida at the event. Rory MacDonald was expected to face Brian Ebersole at the event; however, on November 8th, MacDonald pulled out of the bout citing an injury and was replaced by Claude Patrick, who was promoted from a preliminary card bout with Rich Attonito as a result. Rich Attonito will remain on the card against UFC newcomer Jake Hecht. UFC 140 will feature 4 preliminary bouts live on Ion Television.

    @azniamah fantastic striker? lol

  3. CaesarThaApeGod Says:

    @azniamah Jones is definately not the tallest LHW, Cyrille Diabate is, he*s 6’6.

  4. azniamah Says:

    Happy holidays every1. There’s no denying that Bones Jones is the man this year, but let’s not ignore the fact that he’s the tallest at 205 and probably has the longest reach. A huge advantage at that weight class considering no one in the top ten of 205 even comes close. There’s talk of him stepping up to HW in future. I think that would be too much of a step up in competition. He’s a fantastic striker but lacks the kind of knock out power that’s required in the HW division. Thoughts please

    UFCritical you obviously understood my ignorant lack of intelligent comment though,anyways you act like you are behind the seen,s like in a Dana white video vlog,fall back with your made up shit you only know what i know like everyone else from the Media,your shit an,t facts come back to reality.

  6. UFCritical Says:

    But you can spell sarcasm??

    You are odd.

    You are very much mistaken, while your comment lacks intelligence in every way, my comment is full of FACTS!

    @FrnnkEducation

    you are an idiot, probably at an even lower IQ than George W Bush, how you gonna come on the man’ channel and disrespect him like this? If I see you on the street I will for sure suplex YOUR punk ass. I dont agree with everything the man says, but there is a reason why he’s got so many fans, even when I don’t agree with the man, he way he delivers his analysis is simply sublime… I became a loyal listener after thelightsoutshow went on hiatus, fyi

    In the 2nd round Machida came into a good right hand from Jones. That believe it or not, hurt Machida. Seconds later he took Machida down and then cut him w/elbow. After that Machida walked into another right hand, hurting him again. Machida went down face first, Jones when in for the kill..standing up into the standing guillitine. watch the tape agin…youll see…

  11. one4455 Says:

    @alphared10 How do you know he is racist? Can you read minds?You Race baiting?

  12. alphared10 Says:

    @UFCritical ??? simes like whe have a misunderstanding her because you comment is full of sarcasm.

  13. UFCritical Says:

    @alphared10 OMG!!

    Machida made NO mistakes? Then a faultless Machida got morphed into a train wreck because Jones got lucky!! But it wasnt me who mentioned complacent. Personally Machida was edging the fight and Jones looked as shit as he did against Rampage.
    BUT he got owned COMPLETELY in the end, JONES DID EVERYTHING BUT ENGRAVE “OWNED” ON HIS FOREHEAD IN THOSE LAST 10 SECS!

    Anyways, maybe in the rematch Machida will land more than 3 punches and 2 kicks and give himself a chance.

  14. serofibrinous Says:

    you’re still hating on jones…ugh, (nausea sets in)

  15. MoonBHAA Says:

    @FrnnkEducation lol what?

  16. FrnnkEducation Says:

    i looooove this guys analysis and he’s one of the only guys other than bloodstain lane who i listen to regularly. but i won’t lie, if i ever met him on the street, i KNOOOW he’d say something douchebaggie and i’d have to suplex his ass. i know so many people like him and tey need to be battered

  17. ulverup Says:

    @SlugfestWizard he did, he outclassed him on the feet , it’s not even debatable

  18. alphared10 Says:

    @UFCritical are you serious Jones was fighting Machida the fastest and most elusive fighter at 205 who have 1 hit knockout power,man everyone on this damn site is Bias and is watching a different fight in some fantasy are something,and machida didn’t became complacent he got taged with an over head right,so you all making it seems like machida made a mistake he didn’t, he got counter with an over head right got took down cut, then again with a superman left punch that drop machida.

  19. linamar123456 Says:

    man good videos

    i will always be a fan of jon bones jones

    he is not arrogant he got style

  20. ImAidaTv Says:

    @majidmajid41 I thought Mir was very respectful after and before the fight, even in the pre fight interviews where hes ment to hype it he complemented Nog and Cro Cop

  21. SlugfestWizard Says:

    No way Machida did not win that first round.

  22. kc2788x Says:

    can you believe that little Canadian dipshit try to pull a “mayweather” on the Korean zombie, that was bs, glad “home” boy got his ass knocked the f out! that piece of crap deserve and what he did was uncalled for, trying to take a cheap shot after barely touching the gloves like good sportsmanship, hell, the korean zombie shoulda hit him one more time for good measure like in the Dan hendo fight agianst big mouth Michael “I go to sleep” Bisping!!

  23. BLACKMANIZGOD Says:

    @SpiderSugaRushShogun and black i mite add

  24. willares Says:

    In a perfect world, Hendo fights Jones and H-bombs him to a UFC title. Then Hendo would be not only the most heavily decorated MMA fighter, but arguably considered the best of all time.

  25. willares Says:

    yeah i think jones’s chokes are what to fear the most from Jones. i think if someone pressured him with stand up, thats key to beat him.
