thank you for sharing this video! my nephew has down syndrom but it was detected in the first five weeks. he is a awsome little nephew and is in his 2nd week in the hospital due to bowel obstruction cleft palet and 2 heart defects. i agree that people should stop calling these kids “retarded” beause my nephew had a 65% survival rate and defied the odds. i am happy for you and your daughter she has beat all the odds.

@BarbieJean1984 What organization?
March 19th, 2012 at 4:45 pm
I work for an AMAZING organization that provides pretty much anything the individuals with any kind of special needs requires. I love seeing these videos like this, it gives others with a similar situation hope,understanding,tolerance (of “typical” people’s negligence) & most of all hope for a brighter future.The more people that understand that it’s not a disability it’s a way of life a life style the better the world will be! Maddox you’re a stunning little girl keep up the great work!

He also has down syndrome not detected until birth. He is an amazing little boy and I hope him and us as a family have a similar gambling problem as you all do. So far we do 🙂 xoxo

Thank you for making me laugh and cry! I am a mum too of an 18-month old whose dawn of life began with downs syndrome. He is gambler too, we did not know about his chromosomal excess. You get it rolling, Maddox and Dillan can do his part too. You are only as unique as any other child is- truly amazing, please let us and them not view you and treat you any differently. Lots of love and blessings, m

Thanks so much for sharing this, Maddox is absolutely lovely! I have a 9mth old with Down syndrome, and he is the last of 5 kids and the light of our lives! I realize it will take lots of work to achieve all that he is capable of, but I will not put limits on his abilities. I believe he is more than capable to do anything he sets his heart and mind to. Down Syndrome is something he has, not who he is!
