@psychoforam And it irritates me when people here say that Draupadi caused the war. I want people to watch episodes between 60-70 when the war is about to begin. Many people including her brother an father talk of war. She keeps silent and never speaks a word provocating war. The only person she talks to is her Sakhaa/Friend Krishna

Draupadi’s response to everything that has happened shows that women are not helpless. They are powerful and can defend themselves. Men should be ashamed of themselves for treating women like they are things and not as human beings.

@VSharmaPunjabi As you say yudhitir is a man whether of virtue or not he is still human and not god. This means that in spite of his numerous qualities he still has defects like he liked to gamble and when he started losing he tried his luck by gambling anything he could. Nevertheless as god forgives everyone god forgave this mistake of his (while i agree it was a huge mistake)and also this was a lesson for him which he understood. Thats why after the war Krishna made him King of Hastinapur.

There is a lot of difference between me and yudhistir. I am just a common man but Yudhistir is not. Yudhistir is seen as a man of virtue. But in-spite of that he is not able to protect the modesty of a women. I as a common man and many like me can do anything or everything to protect the modesty of a women…. so whats the use of such modesty and virtue of Yudhistir when it can’t even help a harmless women….

Hats off to Rupa Ganguly for her powerful portrayal of Draupadi. She lived in her role with her excellent expressions of hurt, humiliation, anger, revenge, prayer and finally grace in forgiving the perpetrators. Great action and beautiful enactement by all actors to bring life to the epic.
