This is the story of Ford – the man – the company – and, importantly, a band of revolutionaries that are “betting it all” – defying all the odds – and in doing so, are re-establishing American automotive leadership, and reinventing the world’s automobiles for the 21st Century.

To be fair, Ford was the only one of the big three which did NOT need a bailout.

Now they need to bring Euro Focus, Focues RS and Mondeo to the states and right-hand drive mustang to the world!

Growing up I always wanted to buy a mustang but I could not get over the fact of how bad the interior was. I had the same thought for gm as well. I knew it was an awesome car with great character but gaged every time I got in. I gave up on american cars for a long time because of this but deep down I wanted a car with a personality not just a boring reliable toyota. I am so glad that I don’t have to compromise any more

the part where they talk about V6 performance against the europeans V8 got me thinking… how can a single turbo charged V6 at 340BHP with FWD, beat Mercs, Beamers, and even italian super cars that have 300-400 BHP engines with a rear drive chassis?

The message conveyed in this is very very VERY true. I can’t believe how many people just wanted the BIG 3 to demise. Terrible. American cars are good cars. People need to give the more credit. WHOO Ford.

@voiceInDetroit cont’d. He said that all 3 auto companies are very pro-Israel, but Ford is by far the best, going out on a limb to support of Israel. This was under Henry II. I went to work for Ford in July, 78 because I felt God would bless Ford. I’m still

@markfleisher I also am a Jew. When I graduated from college in ’78, I wanted to work in the auto industry. I asked a friend who worked for the Assoc. Jewish Charities, Which auto company is the most pro-Israel? He told me that Ford is the worst because of Henry I’s history, but he would find out. He got back to me with surprising news.

While Henry Ford was a well known antisemite, as a jew I have problems with Ford. But as an American I am proud of Ford the company.

OUr family is retired Ford Field Service Engineer, and customer Relations Manager. We just sold our ’89 F-250 still going strong because we don’t need it any more. So we are down to a ’88 Festiva, and two Escapes (’01 and ’03). Ford continues to rock!

@UGSAce I believe the man is a safety officer at the Ford Rouge plant, and that he monitors the workstations and probably gives out directions if there is a problem. Good question, though.
